Anne Beyrer grew up on the South Shore of Long Island with her four siblings in an old house, luckily with love and lots of books. Her father was a physician and her mother is a journalist. Anne attended Skidmore College in the 70’s and focused on New Fiction from South America. Anne diverged for a decade from the literary world to study Cuisine and was a working Chef in Manhattan and Fire Island, NY. Anne returned to the classroom in 1989 to teach in a diverse and low-income public school. Anne coached Drama, Poetry Club, and the LGBT+ Club and loved every minute. Anne’s daughter is an acupuncturist living in Mexico.  

Today Anne is hosting live Storytelling at THE ICE PALACE, on Fire Island each Labor Day weekend, polishing her Children’s Book, and going to StorySlams in the Metro Area. Anne’s pomeranian, Mikey enjoys the park and storytimes.
